Internet privacy concerns — Information security

Many of us have concerns regarding the amount of personal data being collected and shared on the internet.  These are valid issues, as the information collection continues to grow and exchanged without the implicit knowledge or consent of the individuals who own the data and the Information Security practices of the companies collecting the data are frequently poor.  This article “Some Google employees defect, then rebel..” featuring the work of an ex-Google employee, describes a couple of extensions he has written for the Chrome browser to “disconnect” the browser from the data collection and ad display technologies embedded in most websites.

musings and wonderings

Found a great website, zoho, looks like these boys are going to give google apps a run for their money. Its in beta mode, I have used it sparingly, but so far so good. I found two features that are great; it allows users to create public or private wikis, and it allows users to conduct net meetings. Its packed full of features, including CRM capability. Kick the tires and test drive it — let me know what you think.
